This title is divided into three books, and to be honest I wasn't taking in most of what I was reading. My experience with classic books has been not too enticing I shall say. I find myself falling asleep sometimes not even knowing which character is talking, I can't connect to the characters, unless I look up a little about the books background. You know the usual, a list of characters, and even read a little of the plot , that is how I managed to make it throughout this book. I would say I understand why Classics are so loved and Important but I have yet to find my way with them or find one in particular that is to my liking. This story starts out with a physician in jail who was atrociously incarcerated without reason. As far as my understanding of the story goes. He spends quite a couple years in prison until he gets out and meets his daughter Lucie Manette. Lucie ends up marrying Charles Darnay which turns out to be a nobleman from the french family Evremonde. On the other hand we have this whole set of charcaters in France, Madame and Monsieur Defarge. Madame is a bloodthirsty lady who takes pleasure in killing bourgeoisie for their vile crimes which spanned for a long period. She reveals she is actually the sister of a girl who suffered rape from Charles Darnay's uncle and Later on in book three wants to have Lucie and little Lucie as well as Dr.Manette killed because of grieving Charles' death. The whole concept is fascinating to me as well as the fact that it's set in The french revolution and London as well, I just wasn't a fan of the use of so many words to describe something simple sometimes, I like the legance of it , I'd just say if you're looking for something fun and a quick read maybe not such a good choice.
